Foundation

EuroVacc Foundation is a non-profit organization created in 2002, building on the research program “European Vaccine Effort Against HIV/AIDS” funded by the European Commission under the 5th Framework Program.

EuroVacc’s primary objectives are:

• To promote HIV vaccine research by bridging the strength of academic research groups with industrial expertise;
• To facilitate and support phase I & II clinical trials in Europe to expedite translational research from discovery to clinical development;
• To partner with other international initiatives and industry for down-stream development and phase IIb/III trials.
• The governing body of the EuroVacc Foundation is the Board of Directors, responsible for the programmatic and financial management. An external Scientific Advisory Committee has been established to provide advice on the scientific agenda of the Foundation.
